Holiday Destination Spain.

Our pictures of Spain were photographed on several trips to almost all part of Spain.
Flamenco dancing, lavish and colourful festivals, tapas bars, and bull fighting are just some of the familiar images of Spain. The climate and landscape is as diverse as its culture and languages, from snow capped peaks in the Pyrenees to the sun drenched orange groves of Valencia.
The main language of Spain is Castellano which is spoken by almost everyone. There's also three regional languages namely: Euskera, Catalan, Gallego. A variation to the Catalan dialect is spoken in the Valencia region.
Spain is the country of siestas, and many shops and services close around 2pm and reopen again at 5pm. It is the hottest time of the day and traditionally when the main meal of the day is had.

Construction of La Alhambra, which was originally created for military purposes by the Nasrites, began during the 13th century. La Alhambra was an alcazaba (fortress), a alcazar (palace), and a small medina (city) which overlooked the surrounding countryside and a much smaller city of Granada.
After the founding of the dynasty, a succession of rulers influenced various phases of the reconstruction and additions to La Alhambra. Then in 1492 the Alhambra became a Christian court when the Catholic Monarchs conquered the city of Granada.
The Alhambra (La Alhambra) a moorish citadel and palace designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, backdropped by the snowcapped Sierra Nevada mountain range seen from Mirador de San Nicolas in the Albayzin district at dusk, City of Granada, Province of Granada, Andalusia (Andalucia), Spain, Europe.
